My author visits are geared toward late elementary and middle school kids. We’ll talk about the writing and revising process, but also about creativity, curiosity, and that all-important writerly attitude.
While many children’s authors do a fabulous job talking to hundreds of students in assembly type settings, I have to confess that I’m not one of them. My fee structure is geared toward classroom presentations of fifty students, maximum (don’t worry—-two classes packed into the library count as one visit). I can do four presentations during one school day before I start babbling. Whew!
